HFS - HIGH FRICTION SURFACING

Product Overview

HFS (High Friction Surfacing) is a thin overlay of anti-skid material on the original road surface to improve the slip resistance performance. The requirements for the overlay material are very high, normally adopting the high-hardness aggregators and high-strength adhesive system. With its a high-performance and high-strength characteristics Epoxy asphalt is ideal materials for ultra-thin layer of HFS. HFS is mainly used for high-grade highway to improve the safety of the road accident-prone sections, such as free-way turning, downhill and winding roads etc..

Applications

EP-188 is a cold-applied epoxy modified synthetic asphalt. No coal tar component exists in the product.It is highly compatible with road asphalt   and has strong bonding properties. The product contains A & B two liquid components. It is fast curing at room temperature, light transparent in colour, with a certain degree of ductility and high-strength. It is designed for colored anti-skid pavement and other road and building construction applications.  EP-188 can be mixed with color aggregators and use two-step molding construction method for paving high quality color road with anti-skid requirements.

Application Guide

1. Clean the application surfaces 2. Add product A to curing agent B into a container at a ratio of 2:1 and mix thoroughly. 3. Apply the mixture to the cleaned surface immediately after mixing. 4. The product should be stored within the temperature range of +5 to +30℃. Avoid direct sunlight. 5. The product shall not be mixed with any other products. 6. The shelf life of the product is 6 months from the production date.
